LOGAN’S LEGACY CHALLENGE
It was with great sadness that we at Johnson Hall said goodbye to Logan Johnston who passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2022. Logan was a founder of the rebirth of Johnson Hall over 35 years ago, and had been a champion and collaborator ever since. He could dream big and had the practical knowledge to make it happen, which he did for the city of Gardiner and all who live here. Logan dedicated himself to public service as a City Councilor, volunteer and organizer. The loss of such an icon in our community was overwhelming, but we will honor him by carrying on the work that Phyllis and he dedicated themselves to for so many years.
In May of 2022, an anonymous donor came forward with a matching gift challenge in honor of Logan. Through December 31, 2022, for every donation of up to $1,000 given in his memory, this donor matched it. As of December 31st, we received $38,061 to be matched. Together with donations made over $1,000, the donations $1,000 and under, and the match, the total raised in honor of Logan is $113,622.
The match challenge has ended, but you may still give in honor of Logan. He would be so pleased to know we all worked together to bring this project together.
